ipjr02222211 feb 2000 Jantique Mozambique children playing in a stream During and after the heavy rains in Southern Africa and Mozambique in February 2000, and the consequential flooding of the surrounding areas a severe shortage of drinking water prevailed in the emergency relief camps along the Limpopo River in Mozambique. Jantique is the name of a small stream flowing out of a catchment area a short distance from one of the emergency relief camps.
