Shamula was forcibly moved to Blikkiesdorp from her home in Woodstock in Delft in Cape Town, South Africa. Her daughter now stays with her sister in Maitland as it is closer to her school. She is currently unemployed and has no transport money to see her daughter. She feels these poorly built one bedroom corrugated iron shacks, where she is staying is the World Cup shameful secret. "the hungry and homeless are dumped here where the football fans will not see us, my question is who is benefitting from the World Cup?"
