Detail of a large mural painted by Veronica Nabilia in 1973. The entire work incorporates three crocodiles: a male and female seperated by a crocodile with two heads representing a god of the land and pond. Above them a female python meets a male python - Adam and Eve. The crocodiles "swim" amidst broken calabash motifs; beneath, the hourglass design represents a pestle used for crushing sheat nuts. Tiébélé, Burkina Faso.
