Walter Sisulu, and Leah and Desmond Tutu share a moment of mirth on a sunny Johannesburg day. They along with several others, had gathered at Nelson Mandela's house in Soweto following his release from Victor Verster Prison. Sisulu had been released a few months before Mandela and, at this gathering, Nelson Mandela was able to spend quality time with friends at his home for the first time in 27 years. Comrades in the liberation struggle, in private they had been family friends for decades.
