Not even two years since the end of the Transvaal war (the war which was undertaken to secure equal rights for all white men and to release the natives from the slavery in which they were held by the Boers), the most tangible and visible result of all the labours and sorrows of the prolonged struggle is to be the importation of Chinese labourers.
