Feed the Starving Now

The Nigerian Civil War, 1967-1970, occured between the Nigerian Federal Government and the Igbo people in the Biafra region of Nigeria. The Government imposed a blockade which resulted in mass starvation. Images of the chaos and destruction flooded western media. Gulf Oil Nigeria continued to pay royalities to the government and operations were able to continue uninterrupted. Although the United States officially remained neutral, interests alligned with the Nigerian Federal Government.
