Journées Nationales de Réflexion sur la Science et La Technique

This fabric commemorates Senegal’s national week of reflection on science and technical knowledge. There is a man using a microscope, a naval ship, a man using farming machinery, oxen in a field, and a scene showing an advanced water pump and solar panels. Each element displays a diverse array of cultural motifs. There is a religious symbol showing the Star of David and a crescent moon; there are multiple agricultural motifs such as fish, oxen, and crops; and a pattern displaying traditional pottery.
