This song belongs to the national repertoire of early revolutionary music composed before exile between 1973 and 1975 by Polisario Front founder El Uali Mustapha Sayed and other friends. This music was a re-adaptation of traditional music with revolutionary lyrics and new instrumentation such as the guitar. It had the function of spreading the message of the anti-colonial revolution throughout all the Saharawi population. This song talks about the revolution. The performance occasion was a private session in the house of the musician. Habuza was one of the first revolutionary singers to join the anti-colonial revolution in 1973. She was playing percussion on a metal plate because she doesn't own a drum.
