I per això es va presentar com a número 19 de la candidatura de les CUP a les eleccions municipals de Girona. La Junta Electoral, però, el va excloure per no tenir la nacionalitat espanyola. Una realitat que li ha servit per aixecar encara més la veu i reivindicar que Girona sigui una ciutat model, sense discriminació, perquè tothom pugui participar de la vida social, política i econòmica en igualtat. Va arribar del Senegal fa set anys, i des d'aleshores forma part de l'associació Àkan, que l'ha ajudat a acabar els estudis, a aconseguir feina i a poder viure dignament en un pis d'acollida de l'entitat.
