Drum Publications

The publishing company that published Drum Magazine was called Drum Publications (Pty) Ltd. It was a partnership between Jim Bailey and Jürgen Schadeberg. The company was founded in 1950, and the first issue of Drum Magazine was published in February 1951. The magazine was initially printed on a monthly basis, but later became a weekly publication.
