CREM

Centre de Recherche en Ethnomusicologie

The CREM is dedicated to the study of musical practices and knowledge, conceived as much as a process of socio-cultural differentiation as forms of expression common to Man. This approach, based on a reasoned collection of musical data and on a simultaneous work of ethnographic investigation, is part of an anthropology of the musical fact considered in its socio-cultural, aesthetic, formal, acoustic, kinesic and finally cognitive dimensions.
