Rainbow Children's Magazine was published weekly by Stellascope Ltd., P.O. Box 42271, Nairobi, Kenya, and then later by Stellagraphics, Ltd. The publication ran from 1976 - 1995. The magazine was created and edited by Hilary and Fleur Ng'weno. Rainbow Children's Magazine was considered a staple magazine in Kenyan households with information on current events and natural history, which were often lacking in the school curriculum of the time. Rainbow encouraged children to develop reading skills, expand their knowledge, and explore their talents. Young readers contributed their writing, fostering a sense of community and empowerment. It was published by Stellascope Ltd. The physical collection is housed at the Hilary Ng'weno Center for East African Media Research at The School of Information Sciences at Moi University, Kenya.
