As presented in this film, in 1975, Kenyan Socialist and assistant minister of Kenyatta's Government, Josiah Mwangi Kariuki (JM), was assassinated. It is speculated that his popularity among the majority of Kenyan's is responsible for his death as it threatened the rule of Kenyatta.
