African Presidential Roundtable 2006: Africa's image in American Media

The 2006 African Presidential Roundtable proceedings had former African heads of state from a broad spectrum of countries. They gathered from April 19-22, 2006 at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, for a discussion on a wide range of issues with a focus on the theme: Africa's image in American media. This video is a summary of the roundtable proceedings, which includes a videoconference keynote with African Presidential Center Director, Charles Stith; former President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton; Phylicia Rashad, actor; Karl Auguste Offman, former President of the Republic of Mauritius; Nana Rawlings, former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana; Nicephore Soglo, former President of the Republic of Benin; Sir Ketumile J. Masire, former President of the Republic of Botswana; Pierre Buyoya, former President of the Republic of Burundi; Aristides Maria Pereira, former President of the Republic of Cape Verde; Flt. Lt. Jerry Rawlings, former President of the Republic of Ghana; Daniel Arap Moi, former President of the Republic of Kenya; Benjamin Mkapa, former President of the Republic of Tanzania; Ali Hassan Mwinyi, former President of the Republic of Tanzania; and Kenneth Kaunda, former President of the Republic of Zambia.
