Salif Keita is known as the Golden Voice of Africa. He is an albino, which is considered bad luck in his home country Mali. His poor eyesight and lack of pigment stopped him from becoming farmer working in the hot sun, but he had a talent for music. He shot to fame in late 1980s, battled prejudice and is recognised as one of Africa's music superstars.
