Kheis Brou, |Abaka Koper and |Una Rooi under the Tree of Life

undetermined

This large Camel Thorn tree (Acacia Erioloba), is situated in Twee Rivieren in what became the Park warden's garden. It is here, under this tree, that |Una Rooi was born and marks the place where she and her sisters, grew up. This tree is, however, also a symbolic marker of what the San community lost when their homes and belongings were burnt and they were forced to leave the area.
