First coloured woman to ever vote, Cape Town

First coloured woman ever to vote in South Africa is Mrs W. Simpson of Crawford. She rose early today to be in time for the opening of the polling station at the Lansdowne Civic Centre in the constituency of Liesbeek for the elections. Mrs Simpson is a prominent welfare worker among the Coloured community.
