A bunch for 20c or 30c: in Venice they cost that each. Cape Town's flower-selling community are having to "import" certain blooms from the Transvaal - they are flown to the Cape - because of a seasonal lack of flowers in the Western Cape. Miss Sulega Heideveld was selling flowers yesterday to regular customers as usual. The carnations she offered at 5c each came from Johannesburg.
