The grand old lady of the Foreshore is finally to make way for a more modern development after a stay of execution of several years during which supporters and detractors debated her merits and shortcomings. The City Council has accepted a R1,5-million tender for the demolition of the Table Bay Power Station, one of the city's most familiar landmarks and operations are expected to start next month.
