Demolition of Carinus Nursing College, central Cape Town

undetermined

Where have all the nurses gone? To a new building at Groote Schuur Hospital. Where the eight-storey Carinus Nursing College used to be in Queen Victoria Street there is a great gap, giving a clear view up to Dorp Street, which is scheduled to link with Queen Victoria Street when the Union Building, left, is demolished. The nursing college celebrated its 21st anniversary in January, 1970.
