The second in a series titled Hoernle Memorial Lecture, which was delivered by E G Malherbe, who held the position of Principal of Natal University College at the time. In this lecture, he tries to analyse the concepts of belief and specifically attitudes of people of various race groups in South Africa, and he displays how by educating the citizens, it could assist in changing and progressing the way people think and will impact their attitudes towards racism in particular.
