“De woning van een hoffdman bij de Baluba.” The house of a Baluba chieftain is an impressive, two-story dwelling with an upper porch and railing and lower porch with a raised earth wall at the base. An exterior ladder extends to the second level. Thatched roofs cover the upper level and the lower porch. The name of the publisher “Congo ̶ Eigendom van Scheut.” is printed on the back of the postcard. There is no handwriting on the back.
