Morning rituals with the children, Mangembo, Congo, ca.1920-1940

“Missions des Filles de Marie de Pesches. Mangembo (Bas Congo). Toilette des orphelins.” Two missionary sisters and a woman attend to the morning routine of bathing and dressing and feeding the orphaned children at the mission. One baby is drinking from a bottle held by an older child. The name of the publisher “Editions: Dumont, Photog., Bruxelles” and caption are printed on the back of the postcard. Handwriting in French closely fills the back of the card.
