Emily Godfrey was the Matron of the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society hospital at Ama Achara, Abia state, Nigeria. The caption to this image reads: "Dr Innes & E.G - 1st car to reach Bende on Bende-Umu Ahia road, 1931." Bende is also in Abia state. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey.
