Black and white photograph featuring an infant cared for by the Methodist Missionary Society hospital in southeast Nigeria. She stands in a checked smock in the hospital grounds. The child is Miriam Wakefield, who was brought to the hospital at five months old as an unwanted twin baby in 1923. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital.
