Black and white photograph showing a group of Nigerian patients and Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara hospital run by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society in southeast Nigeria. Godfrey is seen bandaging a wound for a standing patient. Other patients stand and crouch in a hospital yard with steel bowls, to be used for washing their own wounds. The caption to this image reads: "Patients washing wounds, E. Godfrey binding one." This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey.
