Kasongole was a fishing camp that grew into a thriving village during the peak days of the fishing industry on Lake Mweru Wantipa. This is a temporary shelter, made of grass, that housed a few fisherman for a relatively short time, as they took part in the commercial enterprise. Fish were mostly dried in the sun, less frequently smoked over fires, before they were sold and transported to distant markets. 6840-08 Kaputa - Nsama LMWT boat 1976
