New class room on mission grounds, Ama Achara, Nigeria, 1933

Black and white photograph printed onto a postcard showing a thatch building in the middle distance inside a fenced courtyard, a new classroom for the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society, who held a station in Ama Achara, southeast Nigeria. The caption on the reverse of the card reads: "New class Room on Mission grounds Ama Achara 1933." This image comes from a photograph collection kept by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Methodist Hospital at Ama Achara from 1921 to 1944.
