The group is made up of smartly dressed Nigerian men and women, and one European female missionary. Only one Nigerian man wears national traditional dress, with the other Nigerian staff members wearing Western style clothes. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital.
