The caption on the reverse of the photograph reads: "Members & teacher at the opening of Umu Oba church. Around July 1929." This image comes from a photograph collection kept by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Methodist Hospital run by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society at Ama Achara, southeast Nigeria, from 1921 to 1944.
