Black and white photograph showing the interior of a men's ward at the leper colony run by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society in Uzuakoli, southeast Nigeria. The ward has been decorated with paper chains for Christmas. Trolleys sit in the centre of the ward, and the iron beds are empty and neatly made. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital, also run by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society.
