Black and white photograph showing a scene at the port of Calabar in southeast Nigeria. A crowd disembarks from a ship, and loading cranes can be seen. Passengers move around the harbour with their luggage. The image was taken in December 1943. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital, a medical facility run by the Methodist Missionary Society in southeast Nigeria.
