In a park within sight of a large hospital, two missionary sisters pose with a group of fourteen European children who wear white hats and sit on wicker chairs or in stollers. The back of the postcard has a handwritten note in French and contains a printed title: "Les Soeurs de la Charite a Elisabethville - Hopital pour Europeens. - No 14 - La Pouponniere: Les enfants au parc." ("The Sisters of Charity at Elisabethville - Hospital for Europeans. - No 14 - Day Nursery: Children at the park.") The back also contains information about the printer: "Ern. Thill, Bruxelles."
