Women sewing, Leverville, Congo, ca.1920-1940

A group of women and girls dressed in traditional clothing are sitting and standing outside sewing. A missionary sister is standing near two girls, helping them with their sewing. The back of the postcard has a handwritten message and contains information about the Catholic mission agency: "Soeurs de Ste-Marie de Namur, Leverville (Kwango). Sisters of St. Mary of Namur (Belgium)." There is also the caption: "A la couture! Needlework!"
