Black and white photograph showing Emily Godfrey, Matron of the hospital run by the Methodist Missionary Society at Ama Achara, southeast Nigeria. She wears a pith helmet, dress and white coat. She carries a "nest" made of reeds, at which she looks down. Emily Godfrey stands in the hospital grounds. The caption to this image reads: "'Nest' in which a newly born baby was brought to us." This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey.
