Coin hoard from the Ptolemaic period. The Ptolemaic period dates from 305 BCE to 30 BCE and was initiated by Ptolemy Soter I (305 BCE to 285 BCE). The Hellenistic rulers of Egypt followed its conquest by Alexander of Macedon in 332 BCE.
