Black and white photograph showing the unfurling of a flag at a sports day at Uzuakoli mission station, run by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society. The flag is a Union Flag, representing the United Kingdom. A group of Nigerian boys watch the flag raising, and male European missionaries stand around the flag. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital, also administered by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society.
