Black and white photograph showing the interior of an empty women's ward in Ama Achara Methodist Hospital, Nigeria, run by the Methodist Missionary Society (formerly the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society.) The ward had both iron beds and cots. New buildings were officially opened at the hospital in 1937. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the hospital from 1921 to 1944.
