The Primitive Methodist Missionary Society had a station at Uzuakoli, and staff of the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society worked at the Ukukoli Institute (a training school founded by the Church Missionary Society in 1923.) The missionaries are dressed smartly. This image comes from a photograph collection kept by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Methodist Hospital run by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society at Ama Achara, southeast Nigeria, from 1921 to 1944.
