Black and white photograph showing a young Nigerian woman and a smaller boy. The woman is pregnant, and carries a stick with which to walk. The pair is photographed in front of a wood and cloth screen. The photograph would have been taken at the hospital of the Methodist Missionary Society (formerly the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society) at Ama Achara, southeast Nigeria. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara hospital.
