Eight missionary sisters, twenty children, and two indigenous Ethiopian women, pose in front of a series of buildings on a street that slopes down a hill in large steps. Other buildings of the town and the mountain range beyond are visible in the background. The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information about the publisher: "Congregation des Soeurs Franciscaines de Calais -- Maison-Mere: Rue Eustache-de-St-Pierre, Calais (P.-de-C.).
