Church Interior, Malawi, ca. 1914-1918

Black and white lantern slide featuring the interior of a church in Nyasaland. There is an inscription in Chichewa (the language of the Chewa ethnic group) above the altar. It appears to read: "ANTU A MITUNDE YONSE ADZADZA N ADZAPEMBEDZA PA MASO PANU." This slide comes from a set on the activities of the King’s African Rifles battalions in Nyasaland. It was originally held by the Church of Scotland, and generated by J.W MacKay.
