Black and white tinted lantern slide showing a woman standing alone amongst thatched huts. She wears a patterned wrap around her waist, a wrap shirt, a plain bracelet on each wrist and a beaded collar-type necklace. She stands next to a small, cultivated patch of ground next to a hut, which is possibly a vegetable plot. This slide comes from a set on the activities of the King’s African Rifles battalions in Nyasaland. It was originally held by the Church of Scotland, and generated by J.W MacKay.
