A rock in the background carries a memorial tablet. Imprinted on the image: "Gräber bei Livingstonia. Ost-Afrika. 464." (Graves near Livingstonia. East Africa. 464."). Photo is very yellowed. -- Lydia Maria Meyer (1865 in South Africa -- 1907), née Kunick, was a teacher and a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine having gotten married to Theodor Meyer (1864-1933) in 1893. Until her death she served in Nyasa, East Africa.
