"Vor unserer Veranda mit Herrn Gärtner" ("In front of our porch with Mr. Gärtner"). Mr. and Mrs. Blumer with their son Arnold, Mr. Gärtner and a dog. Leonhard Blumer (1878-1938), from Kida in Estonia, served the Leipzig Mission as pastor and teacher in Arusha from 1907 to 1930 (apart from home leave in 1912-1913 and 1924-1926).
