This color postcard depicts boys playing football, or American soccer. A peak-roofed thatched hut is behind the field. The back of the postcard has no handwriting on it. Printed at the edge of the correspondence section is "Universities' Mission to Central Africa, Central Africa House, 9 Dartmouth Street, Westminster" "Football at Likoma Island, Lake Nyasa. Likoma was chosen for the headquarters in Nyasaland in 1885. It was then entirely heathen. Its beautiful Cathedral, over 202 schools and 2,402 Christiasn testify to the work which is being done in the district."
