Black and white lantern slide showing a group of seven boys of various ages. The boys wear wraps around their waists, with a shirt or with a bare chest. One boy holds his nose, and another younger boy holds a hoop and a stick with which to propel it along. The boys stand in front of a table. Since detritus and tools lie on the ground, they may have been practising woodwork. This slide comes from a set on the activities of the King’s African Rifles battalions in Nyasaland. It was originally held by the Church of Scotland, and generated by J.W MacKay.
