Letter from Shirley Graham Du Bois to Bernard Jaffe

1961

Grateful for Jaffe's assistance in their transition. Finances. Their house is being provided for them, so they are not buying anything other than a Russian car. All Ghana is caught up in the Queen's visit. "Nkrumah and the people of Ghana are simply amazing!... Patience is an absolute necessity for us right now. It isn't that things are not being done or are not happening. But we really are very far away and our personal affairs are just grains of sand in the whirlwind which is sweeping Africa!"
