Photograph of a typical Ngoni hut built on top of a hillock. The hut is circular with a large thatched roof. A smaller structure sits to the front of the hut and two Ngoni men can be seen sitting outside the hut. The surrounding land is flat with little vegetation. The Ngoni people are an ethnic group living in Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia. Their origins can be traced to the Zulu people of kwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
