Regretting that he has not been able to contact the President of Dunbar National Bank to discuss matters of Ethiopian finance and investment; assuring that "in the long run, and after Abyssinia has established her credit," it may borrow "large sums here"; and musing on whether now is the right time to establish a gold standard in the country.
